I first met Robert in 1995. I was in a new role in the HR dept at Amerada Hess. I knew next to nothing about pensions. Luckily for me Robert was there to guide me, recommending courses and training and becoming my pensions mentor. In 2014 I once again became involved in the Hess UK pension plan. Once again Robert was there to guide and help me in my new role. I had the utmost respect for Robert professionally but also on a personal level he was such a kind person. I will miss him and my thoughts are with his family at this difficult time. RIP.
